Kirkby Tyres acquires new 10-acre site

Kirkby Tyres, purportedly the largest importer and distributor of off-highway tyres in the UK and Ireland, reports that it is expanding following the acquisition of a new ten-acre site. The new site is situated alongside the company’s current headquarters in Liverpool, UK and features a 200,000 square foot warehouse, according to the company.
As a result of the latest development, Kirkby Tyres’s Liverpool headquarters cover a total of 20 acres, with over 500,000 square feet of covered warehousing. Recognising the need for enhanced storage and logistics, the company is investing in “advanced systems that help the customers (the trade) better serve their customers (the users)”.
Commercial director, Michael Rosenthal, said: “Our continued investment in product innovation and logistics underscores our commitment to excellence and we are planning to unveil exciting new technological developments later this year.”
With an inventory of over 8,000 SKUs, 1,200 tread patterns, and 1,400 different sizes in stock as well as more than 30,000 tubes and 32,000 wheels, Kirkby Tyres covers a wide range of segments including agricultural, TBR, OTR, plant, and industrial markets.
Kirkby Tyres won NTDA Truck & Agricultural Tyres Supplier of the Year 2023.
