As 2021 drew to a close, Far Eastern tyre retail specialist business B-Quik opened its 200th store and hit an interim growth target. The opening of the new location at Maxxbox Lippo Village brought the chain’s Indonesian total to 9 branches and 200 across Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia.

Thailand remains the biggest part of the B-Quik organisation with 189 branches located there following the “soft opening” of Sinopark and Kalpapruek in Bangkok. In addition, two more B-Quiks can be found in Cambodia.

However, that is not the end of it. According to managing director Henk Kik, over 30 more locations are “in the pipeline” for 2022. “Great job by the B-Quik boys and girls all over”, Kik wrote in social media post commenting on the news.

Financial results for the full-year ended March 2021 show that B-Quik, 90 per cent of which is owned by Japanese conglomerate Marubeni, returned 2.5 billion yen (£16.275 million; 19.462 millino euros; US$21.948 million) of net profit (up from 2.3 billion yen the year before). Taking recent and planned opening into account, that figure is likely to increase in 2022 and 2023 financials.
