Mopar connects with Amazon Marketplace

Mopar, Fiat Chrysler Automotive (FCA)’s spares, parts and service operation, has announced that it will be selling its products online on Amazon Marketplace. Mopar will be the first Automaker in Italy to sell its products through this platform. According to the company, it is a new way to respond to the needs of increasingly more technological and digitised customers.

The initial assortment will include over 1300 prevalently DIY-oriented items. All customers will be able to find products compatible with their car quickly and safely using the Amazon My Garage application. As far as UK tyre sales are concerned, Mopar runs as a subdomain of dealertyres.co.uk, which is owned and operated by Stapleton’s (Tyre Services) Ltd.

News of Mopar’s connection with Amazon is said to be just first step in a digital transformation that will lead up to the opening of a Mopar online store in 2019. The news follows the announcement of the conversion of the time-honoured Fiat plant in Rivalta (TO) into an innovative warehouse.

Mopar’s new service is developed on the Amazon Marketplace platform and will provide answers to the needs of an increasingly technological and digitised customers and follow growing global demand. Over the past 12 months, Mopar has supplied over 47,000 tons of spare parts and accessories to support over 7,000 dealers and workshops in the EMEA Region alone. The new sales channel directly targets end users and will initially feature an assortment of over 1300 prevalently DIY-oriented items. All customers will be able to find products compatible with their car quickly and safely using the Amazon My Garage application.
