Conti USA recalls certain Coach H3 tyres

Continental Tire Americas has recalled its Conti Coach H3 tyre, due to a potential issue that could cause loss of internal pressure through the sidewall resulting in slow of rapid deflation.

According to official recall details, the issue was detected in tyres from four production weeks, though the company has opted to recall all potentially affected tyres from the start of production, in what the company called “an abundance of caution.”

The recall relates to 315/80R22.5 157/154 L tyres produced between August 27, 2017, and April 28, 2018. The tyres can be identified with the Department of Transportation (DOT) codes A372KWUU 3517 through A372KWUU 1618.

Continental says it will notify consumers identified as having bought the tyres in the replacement market, and consumers will be directed to contact the dealer where the purchase was made regarding replacement.

A total of 5,356 tyres have been recalled in North America – 3,917 in the US, 1,378 in Mexico, and 61 in Canada.
