MWSD targets further trailer OE growth with European sales appointment
Motor Wheel Service Distribution (MWSD) has appointed Alex Kitzen to the position of European sales manager. The Manchester-based wheel distributor is targeting further growth in the trailer original equipment market.
Kitzen has extensive automotive and commercial vehicle experience, and will focus initially on growing Xlite and Xbrite forged aluminium wheel and accessory sales to manufacturers in Germany and the Netherlands. He will then look to the wider European Union.
In addition he will also support official aftermarket partners in key countries, and continue the educational focus on the EU Roadworthiness Act, which must be implemented by Member States by May 2017.
Reporting directly to John Ellis, managing director of MWSD, Kitzen will have the full support of the company’s experienced technical, sales and marketing functions.
Ellis said: “Alex has already gained significant experience in the commercial vehicle wheels and automotive sectors which gives him a knowledge and contact database that few can match.
“Supported by our market-leading Xlite and Xbrite wheels, the renowned experience of our technical division, a solid support structure and a total knowledge of the impending EU Roadworthiness Act, he brings a complete product and support package to the market which few can match.”
