Furrows Group invests in CAM systems for tyre wholesale operation

Furrows Group is to develop a more robust internet ordering system based on CAM’s MIDaS B2B and Cameo platforms. Changing its approach to the market Furrows hopes to expand its tyre wholesaler operation by providing a more efficient bespoke service to its customers.

New market research identified Furrows’ traditional parts system as unsuitable for the tyre wholesale division of its operation. By working closely with CAM’s B2B solutions and introducing other systems including Integrated Ledgers, Online Tyre Catalogue and POD Barcode Scanning, the wholesaler says it will be able to structure its operation to cater more specifically to individual customers’ requirements.

Gareth Richards, group parts manager for Furrows, says: “We listened to feedback from our customers and researched the market carefully and found that CAM’s platforms were the industry standard giving us peace of mind that we were choosing the right products.  Our new system will enable our customers to have total confidence that they are purchasing from us more effectively and that our service will provide added efficiencies.  We’ve received consistently high levels of contact and communications with CAM and we’re certain that its technology and consultancy will enable us to grow our tyre operations effectively.”

Mike Allen, managing director of CAM, adds: “Furrows made initial enquiries a while ago about our solutions and its thorough market research consolidated its view of the systems we recommended to enable it to change its approach to market and introduce a more robust, bespoke and efficient service to its customers.”
