DriveRight claims thousands of visits during Reifen

DriveRight's stand at May's Essen show

While we know that something like 20,000 people attend the Reifen show in Essen at the end of May, you may be surprised to learn that data and software firm DriveRight is claiming that as many as 10 per cent of these approached the company during the event. According to DriveRight, 64 per cent of enquires were from international clients.

The attractions to the DriveRight booth were said to have been received with enthusiasm. These included: TyreFit 4.0, including integration of TPMS sensor data, VRM (Vehicle Registration Mark) search for France and integration of the company’s wheel database; and the firm’s product management/catalogue tool.

First up is TyreFit 4.0, which is an upgraded version of the existing TyreFit 3.0 tool. Enhancements we demonstrated included: Search for tyre data with images and label data; Wheel database with various search options;            TPMS data integrated in the vehicle database. The TyreFit 4.0 version shown in Essen was a demo, but according to the company the completed system will soon be fully available to all customers.

The integration of TPMS sensor data allows for the allocation of common TPMS sensors (TPMS) to DriveRight’s vehicle database; inclusion in the wheel database of manufacturers who have already provided information about TPMS; as well as provision of TPMS data as a separate web service method.

DriveRight can now offer a new French VRM search, something else that was demonstrated in Essen. This performs in a similar way to the other VRM searches we already offer for UK, Netherlands, Finland, Norway and Sweden. DriveRight reports that it will continue to offer the alternative existing search for France from the vehicle ID ‘D.2.1’ from the ‘Carte Grise’.

New international wheel data is also now available, making wheel data easy to integrate for different specific markets. This includes  TUV information associated to wheel product data.

Together with partner Lockside, DriveRight has also created the ‘Geni-Sys’ and ‘Catalog n’ time’ tools which allow a catalogue to be built and managed very simply by using one interface.

This allows for product descriptions with price and language options for different markets; different channels to maintain all or part of the product range (websites/Webshop, marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, etc.); and for users to easily create printed products, such as product catalogues or advertising flyers.

In addition to its updated and refreshed product range, DriveRight also reports that it internationally supports projects promoting tyre safety. The company is also a member of the UK tyre safety organisation TyreSafe. Indeed it was with the help of the data DriveRight provides that TyreSafe was able to create its tyre info website and iOS app.
