Pirelli hosts Volvo customer track day at Goodwood

The winners of a recent Pirelli promotion run in collaboration with Volvo recently enjoyed a day with Mithril Racing School at Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit. The promotion, which was run from July to September, enabled all Pirelli tyre purchases from the official tyre suppliers to enter the promotion. Six league divisions were set up by Volvo: five divisions for existing members of the programme and a sixth division was set up for dealers who were new to the scheme.

Dealers were then separated into leagues who shared similar purchasing power and Volvo set up the registration process. Volvo collated all sales figures and produced league tables in order to supply updates to its dealers.

At the end of the promotion, each division winner won a place at Mithril Racing School where they were able to drive a vast array of supercars ranging from Ferraris to Lamborghinis on the famous Goodwood race circuit.  Each second place dealer received £150 of their choice of Pirelli portfolio items and third-placed dealers received £100 of Volvo merchandise.

Simon Ford, Pirelli UK’s national account sales manager, commented: “I helped oversee the joint promotion between Pirelli and Volvo and I’m pleased to say that the whole initiative went without a hitch. The division winners had a fabulous time at Goodwood which is a nice reward for all their hard work during the promotional period.”
