Stamford enters winter market

Date: 8th August 2012 Author: Admin Comments: 0

Singapore’s Stamford Tyres announced the entry onto the winter tyre market of its Firenza brand, introducing the company's initial sizes of its Nu Ice Firenza winter tyre range. Stamford Sport Wheels (SSW), a subsidiary partner of the Stamford Tyres Group, used its portion of the Stamford stand to display a new alloy wheel collection. SSW launched its latest range of Soleil alloy wheels in Europe for cars, 4×4/SUV's and light trucks.

The new Firenza Nu Ice winter tyre range made its European debut at the show with two initial Nu Ice tyres in studdable and non-studdable patterns. The NTS-01 has sixteen sizes from 175/65 R14 up to 225/40 R18. The studdable XT-01 provides twelve sizes from 14-18”. The tyres will be available for the forthcoming 2012 winter season, the company says.

Also displayed was the new UHP ST09, a directional tyre that replaces the ST08, and runs alongside the flagship asymmetric pattern ST-05A. The new ST09 pattern will initially be available in 28 sizes between 15” and 18”, while the ST-05A is available in 26 sizes from 15-18” in V and W fitments, while larger 19” and 20” models are to be introduced soon.

Sitting next to the Van/LTR SV053, and entering the SUV market, Firenza unveiled three new patterns, the HT183, ST185 and AT186 making their European debuts. Firenza also showed a selection of truck patterns including the Firenza SSR05A, SSD08, SSM07 and SST07. The SSR05A incorporates a wide and flat tread profile for impressive mileage and smooth handling in both steer and trailer sectors with sizes from 11R22.5 up to 315/80R22.5.

SSW’s Soleil range is part of an extensive product portfolio ranging from 13-24” for cars, 4×4/SUV’s and light commercials. Manufactured in Thailand, they include production technologies such as tilting gravity and low pressure. The wheels are also certified to all relevant International Quality Standards including JWL/JWL-Y VIA in Japan and TÜV.

Pat Berriman said: “We believe the best way to get a customer interested in a product is to allow them to see and touch the tyres and wheels and all our visitors were impressed with a close inspection of our products.”
