Kal Tire now selling cutting edges

Kal Tire, which traded under the OTR Tyres name for many years before its merger with the Canadian Kal Tire group, has added Brawler Cutting Edges to its offering. Brawler Cutting Edges are marketed exclusively in the UK by Kal Tire.

Designed to protect both bucket edges of machinery and workplace flooring, the Brawler Cutting Edge is said to combine a unique design with unique physical properties to give a cleaner, safer, dry transfer station floor which means less tyre slip and less tyre wear.

Engineered using an abrasion and chunk resistant Mining Rubber Compound for extended wear, the Brawler Cutting Edges provide 6 of rubber thickness and a 2 tapered edge – to aid in scraping low loads and to protect flooring as well as providing a safer working environment.

Rubber Cutting Edges are available in 3 length options – 36, 40 and 48 inches and the patented T-shaped fastener system can be combined to fit most bucket sizes. The number of fasteners depends upon the number of mounting holes on a given bucket and the outside width of the bucket will determine the specific sizes and number of segments required.

Steve Clipperton, Waste Industry Manager for Kal Tire UK, said “The Brawler Cutting Edges are proving to be very popular amongst our customers, and the feedback we have received so far has been very positive, especially in relation to the safety element of the product, as the resultant clean floor means that the working performance of the loader is never compromised – offering protection to both man and machine. An added bonus is also the protection of flooring, as the blades will not scratch or break surfaces.”
