Toyo helps Malvern Tyres director raise money for MacMillan

Date: 27th September 2011 Author: Admin Comments: 0

Toyo Tires has supported a Golf Day organised by Mike Craddock, director of Malvern Tyres. The Captain’s Charity Day, held at the Harpenden Golf Club where Craddock is the captain, raised money for MacMillan Cancer Support, with the collected funds to be spent in the county of Hertford. Amongst the many fundraising activities was an auction for which Toyo donated a set of tyres to the value of £500. The evening event raised a total of £3,500.

Toyo’s tyres were bought by high bidder John Grover. Mike Craddock declared himself delighted that Toyo’s donation raised such a sizable part of the overall total. It is estimated that over the year, around £8,000 will be raised for the Charity by the Golf Club.

The club holds various events to raise money; from themed dinners to discos. However the biggest day by far, is the Charity day which is now in its third year and always raises a generous amount for the chosen Charity. Around 80 Golfers take part and the day starts with breakfast before the Golf. Once the golfers have completed the course, lunch is served followed by the raffle and of course the auction.

Toyo said it had been pleased to support the charitable enterprise of one of its major dealers.
