BSM Technologies and EMS Technologies to distribute in Latin America

Date: 4th April 2011 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

BSM Technologies Inc., a leading provider of remote monitoring, fleet management, fleet diagnostics and automated vehicle security systems, and EMS Global Tracking, part of the Global Resource Management business of EMS Technologies, Inc. said (on 3 April) that they are extending their existing reseller agreement to distribute BSM’s SecTrack products and services to Latin America.

“We look forward to further collaboration with EMS Global Tracking as we strengthen our position in the region and target new growth opportunities in key markets such as Brazil, Mexico and Argentina,” said Aly Rahemtulla, president and CEO of BSM. “We expect to focus our efforts on expanding our network of value-added resellers – similar to the strategy that has served us well in other regions.”

The two companies have been working together since 2005, with SecTrack reselling EMS Global Tracking’s Inmarsat-related products, as well as related services and support. SecTrack provides hardware, communication links, and airtime for real-time tracking and management of vehicles, vessels and stationary facilities around the globe using Inmarsat IsatM2M satellite communications. This offering is marketed through a network of 60 value-added resellers in 40 countries.

To support the expanded relationship with EMS Global Tracking, BSM expects to add to its sales team in Latin America. “We are pleased to strengthen our relationship with BSM Wireless and to increase our combined presence throughout Latin America,” said Simon van den Dries, vice president, global sales, EMS Global Tracking.
