Goodyear OE on NAIAS Car, Truck of Year

Date: 13th January 2011 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Goodyear has let it be known that both the ‘Car of the Year’ and ‘Truck of the Year’ at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit are fitted with its tyres as original equipment. The two distinctions were awarded to the 2011 Chevrolet Volt and 2011 Ford Explorer respectively; Goodyear is exclusive tyre supplier for the Volt and its Assurance Fuel Max is fitted in size P215/55R17. Goodyear’s Fortera HL tyre is standard fitment on the Explorer in size P245/65R17.

“Supplying the tyres for some of the most highly respected vehicles on the road is a job Goodyear is proud to claim,” said Johann Finkelmeier, Goodyear’s vice president, original equipment. “These vehicles are winners, and we want the tyres to play an important role in that appeal.”
