Phil Morrison Wins Maxxis British Drift Championship On Federal

Date: 12th October 2010 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

The 2010 Maxxis British Drift Championship reached a thrilling climax at Knockhill, Scotland over the weekend of September 25-26. It proved a stern test of vehicles and drivers, with BDC newcomer Phil Morrison eventually emerging victorious in his 700 bhp S15, shod with Federal 595 RS-R high performance tyres, making it a day to remember for both Phil and his Team Driftworks.

The Driftworks team has the full backing of Federal Tyres and everyone at Driftworks worked very hard to push the car to its maximum on the Knockhill track, with its high speed corners.

A delighted Phil Morrison paid tribute to his team – and to his tyres – after achieving victory, saying: “I’d especially like to thank Federal Tyres for their continued support in supplying the best track and drifting tyre on the market to our team. The Driftworks S15 is a freshly tuned powerful car now, and without the level of traction we have with the 595 RS-R tyre, we wouldn’t have had this success. Thank you!”
