Vredestein Grows Flotation Trac Range

Date: 17th November 2009 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Vredestein’s states that its recently introduced Flotation Trac implement radial is well suited to work on arable land, grassland and for transportation. This all-round range has now expanded through the addition of a fifth size.

Large farms and professional contractors often tend to apply their fleet more efficiently by using multifunctional vehicles. For instance, the loading vehicle used to produce grass fodder in spring can be deployed as a silage vehicle for harvesting maize crops in the autumn. According to Vredestein, the new Flotation Trac is ideal for these combined grass and arable land applications. The Flotation+ and Flotation Pro, the manufacturer adds, are indispensable in the production of green fodder. Both tyres are designed to prevent damage to the grass when mowing, cutting, loading or baling.

The Flotation Trac’s tread profile is recognisable by its stable centre and open shoulder profiling that, says Vredestein, ensures extra comfort, a long lifespan and a low rolling resistance. Other qualities noted by the manufacturer are the tyre’s strong and flexible carcass, excellent self-cleaning qualities and combination of traction characteristics with optimal protection of the soil structure.

The latest addition to the Flotation Trac range, the 750/45R 26.5 170D size, is suitable for silage vehicles, rear tippers, semi-liquid and farm manure spreaders, loading vehicles, baling presses and self-propelled harvesters. The tyre has already been adopted as original equipment by a number of agricultural machinery manufacturers. The introduction of the  26.5-inch version means five popular sizes are now available.
