Rolf Koerfer Elected Chairman of Conti Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board of Continental AG has unanimously elected Rolf Koerfer its new chairman at its March 27 extraordinary meeting in Hanover, Germany. The 51-year-old thus succeeds Dr. Hubertus von Grünberg, who resigned on March 6.

Rolf Koerfer is a lawyer and partner at the international law firm Allen & Overy LLP. He is specialised in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and restructurings in various industrial sectors, including automotive, insurance, and reinsurance companies as well as financial institutes. In addition to his activities as lawyer, Koerfer is a member of the corporate law committee of the Germany’s Bundesrechtsanwaltskammer (federal chamber of lawyers) as well as supervisory board chairman of Cologne, Germany based reinsurance company Global Re. Koerfer is married and has three children.
