Towell Auto Centre Opens 16th Bridgestone Outlet in Oman

Date: 3rd April 2008 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Towell Auto Centre LLC, exclusive Bridgestone distributor in Oman, has made further inroads into the national market with the opening of a new Bridgestone ‘Tyre Care Plus’ (TCP) facility in Barkha on April 2. The new centrally located outlet is Towell Auto’s 16th TCP outlet in Oman, and Towell believes the outlet represents an ideal model for a stand-alone tyre retail centre.

In attendance at the opening ceremony were Mr. Shoichi Sakuma, president of Bridgestone Middle East & Africa FZE, along with senior officials from Bridgestone and Towell Auto Centre. Mr. Sakuma along with Mr. Riyadh Ali Sultan, general manager of Towell Auto Centre, inaugurated the new TCP unit before a tour of the centre’s facilities and services was given.

Towell says that at Barkha customers can choose from an extensive range of tyres and a host of value added services in an ‘ambient atmosphere’. The TCP also houses office rooms, a prayer room, a warehouse for storage of tyres, lubes and batteries and accommodation for staff. The outlet has three bays for fitting and alignment and a customer friendly ambience. Skilled technicians are on hand to provide services such as wheel alignment, wheel balancing, automated tyre changing, tyre repairs, tyre rotation, battery change as well as guidance on tyre care and maintenance. The other unique feature, says Towell, is the availability of Nitrogen filling for tyres.

“Bridgestone has been at the forefront of world-class products and product innovations in the international market since 1931,” stated Mr. Sakuma during the opening ceremony. “The concept of an exclusive Bridgestone outlet has been redefining tyre retailing in Oman and keeping in line with Towell Auto Centre’s concept ‘Closer to the Customer’, I stand here proud to present to you the 16th Tyre Care Plus outlet in Oman. World over, Bridgestone’s performance has been momentous and this occasion not only reinforces the bond between Bridgestone and Towell Auto Center but also strengthens our stride to greater success.”
