NETE Anticipates Growth With New Warehouse

Date: 13th April 2006 Author: Admin Comments: 0

North Eastern Tyre & Exhausts has recently completed an extension to its main distribution centre’s warehousing and sees itself as a prime example of a company geared up to distribute high and ultra high performance tyres. Following several years of continuous focus on developing its product portfolio the company is now building its reputation as a specialist in this area of the market.

The nature of the HP and UHP sector sees an increase in the demand for excellence in service coupled with the availability in choice of product range. It is for these reasons that NETE sees itself as leading the way in this area of the market. The recent warehouse extension allows NETE to stock an additional 35,000 tyres with a stock listing in excess of seven hundred variations, this includes all of the well known manufacturer offerings such as Avon, Bridgestone, Continental, Dunlop, Goodyear, Michelin and Pirelli, as as up and coming brands such Federal, Maxxis and Marangoni.

NETE’s commercial director, Gavin Marshall, explained how warehouse storage capacity is critical to the variety of choice and multiple same day deliveries. He added: “It not uncommon for one size of UHP tyre, made by one manufacturer, to be offered in excess of 10 variations of speed ratings, load index and pattern”. Marshall was swift to mention that their GroupLink warehouse computer software allows customers to view NETE’s database and call upon the extensive variations of products, prices and stock levels.

This software coupled with NETE’s unrivalled delivery service, which includes 60 per cent of their customers receiving a rapid response delivery, is an integral part of the excellence in service that NETE offers. Using GroupLink a customer has access to their delivery schedule, stock information and can complete the order at click of a button. It is this demonstration of service and professionalism that is in line with the thinking of the HP and UHP sector and ensure NETE continue to lead the industry forward with its progressive attitude.
