Goodyear Expands Dunlop Direzza Brand

Date: 9th November 2005 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

(Akron/Tire Review) Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co is expanding the Dunlop brand Direzza tyre line by launching two new Direzza race tyres and new sizes of the Direzza DZ101.

The new Direzza GRP is a street-legal drag race tire for entry and mid-level racing applications, and the Direzza drag slick is designed for professional drag racing, Goodyear stated.

Additionally, the tyremaker added 22 new sizes to the existing 12 sizes of the Direzza Z101 tire line.

“With the popularity of sport compacts and the sport of drifting flowing from Asia to North America, the Direzza expansion was a natural extension,” said Andy Traicoff, director of Dunlop marketing in North America.
