Mitas displays range at major agricultural events

The Mitas brand participated in two major UK agricultural shows during the past month: the Royal Cornwall Show and the Royal Highland Show. Partnering with tyre dealers Geoffrey Harris Tires and Farmer’s Tires, Mitas showcased its range and drew significant interest from thousands of attendees.
Royal Cornwall Show
Held from 6 to 8 June, the Royal Cornwall Show is one of the most prominent events on the agricultural calendar. It attracted farmers, business executives, and enthusiasts, who flocked to see Mitas’ range of radial tyres designed to enhance daily farming operations. Geoffrey Harris Tires, a well-known dealer with extensive agricultural expertise, played a pivotal role in Mitas’ successful presentation.
At the show, Mitas displayed a variety of tyres, including the Mitas AC 65. This wide-base tyre is ideal for field, grassland, and road use, featuring a large contact footprint area that is especially gentle on the ground, even under heavy loads. The AC 65’s optimal tread bar arrangement and flexible sidewalls ensure first-class comfort during fast road travel, supporting speeds of up to 65 km/h.
“We are thrilled with the response we received at the Royal Cornwall Show,” said Craig Churstain, area sales manager at Mitas. “Our partnership with Geoffrey Harris Tires has been invaluable. His expertise, combined with our reliable tyres, created a perfect synergy that resonated with the agricultural community. This event has been a fantastic platform for us to demonstrate our commitment to supporting farmers in increasing yields and enhancing their daily operations with reliable solutions.”
Royal Highland Show
From 20 to 23 June, Mitas participated in the Royal Highland Show at the Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, Edinburgh. This event, marking the 240th anniversary of the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS), attracted over 200,000 attendees. Mitas’ stand featured a comprehensive range of radial tyres, showcased alongside Farmer’s Tyre, a trusted partner renowned for its deep expertise in agricultural needs.
Mitas presented several notable products, including the AC 85 and HCM tyres. The AC 85 is a durable radial tyre with a wear-resistant tread compound, offering balanced characteristics for various applications both in the field and on the road. Its large contact patch enhances traction, making it a reliable choice for farmers. The HCM tyres, versatile for municipal and road maintenance tractors and telehandlers with loaders, excel on and off-road year-round. Constructed with steel-belted radial technology, they ensure durability. Features such as deep tread grooves, a steering groove for enhanced handling, and an open shoulder design for improved self-cleaning make the HCM tyres particularly effective.
“We are thrilled with the enthusiasm and feedback we received at the Royal Highland Show,” said Russell Ellis, area sales manager at Mitas. “Our collaboration with Farmer’s Tyre has proven invaluable. Their extensive knowledge, paired with our durable and high-performance tyres, created a synergy that truly resonated with the agricultural community. This event has served as an excellent platform to showcase our commitment to supporting farmers in optimising their operations with reliable solutions.”
