Zodo Tire to build tyre plant in Cambodia

Shandong, China-based Zodo Tire Co. Ltd is preparing to set up a factory in Cambodia. According to plans, the tyre maker will build a facility with an annual production capacity of 6 million semi-steel radials and 1.2 million all-steel radials. Zodo Tire has not disclosed how much it will invest in this project.
Zodo Tire was established as Shandong Longyue Rubber in 2011. The fledgling firm benefitted from Goodyear technology and its factory in Heze, Shandong utilised equipment sourced from Japan, Germany and the USA. The company took on its current name in 2018 upon its acquisition by Weifang Huadong Rubber. Both companies operate independently as members of the Zodo Group. Zodo Tire expanded its footprint in 2023 with the acquisition of Kaixuan Rubber.
In its 2022 ranking, the China Rubber Industry Association lists Zodo Tire in 19th place amongst tyre manufacturers. The company’s tyre brand portfolio includes Grenlander, iLink, Zmax, Fronway, Rockblade and Goldshield.
