Bridgestone joins SNR-i initiative

Bridgestone Corporation shares that its subsidiary in Singapore has signed the Sustainable Natural Rubber Initiative (SNR-i) on behalf of the global Bridgestone group. By signing this declaration, Bridgestone says declares its intention to support and abide by worldwide guidelines for responsible procurement of natural rubber. The company also has committed itself to maintaining active involvement in the SNR-i pilot phase.

Established by the International Rubber Study Group (IRSG), SNR-i is a voluntary industry project to ensure that the rubber industry can build on its best practices plus demonstrate and communicate throughout the natural rubber value chain.

The IRSG reports that 23 organisations have now registered under SNR-i. In addition to Bridgestone Singapore, other tyre manufacturing signatories include Goodyear, Michelin and Nokian Tyres.
