Apollo Tyres has appointed Atulya Sharma its chief legal counsel. In this role he will be based in the company’s corporate office in Gurgaon, India and report to vice-chairman and managing director Neeraj Kanwar.

Prior to joining Apollo Tyres, Sharma was head of legal for the Indian Subcontinent and Mauritius at Deutsche Bank AG, a position he held since February 2007. Prior to that, he worked with IFC (World Bank Group), Dua Associates and IDFC Group.

“In a growing organisation like ours, we would need the expertise of Atulya to help us manage the legal risks, litigations and regulatory actions related to the organisation,” commented Neeraj Kanwar. “His extensive experience in working with different organisations and cultures worldwide, is an added advantage for Apollo Tyres.”
