Hankook OE on Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Its tyres are already fitted on Mercedes-Benz S- and E-Class cars, and now Hankook Tire reports it has begun supplying Daimler AG original equipment tyres for the C-Class, including run-flat tyres. The midsize Mercedes receives both standard and HRS (Hankook Runflat System) versions of the Ventus S1 evo² in size 225/50 R17 W. This is the first time that Hankook has supplied run-flat tyres as original equipment.

“The new C-Class is already the third Mercedes-Benz premium model that has been equipped with our high-performance tyres in the last twelve months. It thereby documents our recognised and consistently high performance both in development as well as in production,” commented Hankook COO Europe Ho-Youl Pae. “We are particularly proud that our Hankook Runflat System, which is produced in Europe, is able to satisfy the high demands of the Mercedes-Benz engineers when it comes to safety, driving dynamics as well as comfort. This original equipment is therefore further proof of the worldwide technological competence of the Hankook brand.”
