MWSD launches steel wheel purchasing guide
Motor Wheel Service Distribution (MWSD) has launched a new guide designed to simplify the commercial vehicle wheel purchasing process. Covering commercial truck, trailer, bus and coach operators, the MWSD Chevron Quality Steel Wheels Product Information booklet steers customers through the advantages of each design along with detailed load and fitting information.
The Chevron range is broken into three tiers: Gold is a premium brand of steel wheel for OEM manufacturers and operators seeking an exact replacement; Silver is described as a leading aftermarket mid-range proposition; while Bronze is said to be “a dependable budget wheel.”
Notably Gold and Silver ranges have been extensively fatigue tested using an LBF machine designed to accurately simulate real world operating conditions, underlining the strength of Chevron wheels design and safety capabilities. They also carry the TüV quality mark.
John Ellis, managing director of Motor Wheel Service Distribution, said: “Choosing the right wheel is something even experienced operators can find difficult. The new guide is designed to make the process as easy as possible, with the advantages of each wheel carefully explained and clear, informative charts showing the capabilities across a wide breadth of sizes. The Chevron range – with an impressive average weight of 37.0kg at Gold level and 42.0kg at Silver – delivers the highest capabilities for operators at very attractive prices.”
