Tyre Shopper wins fifth Hitwise Top 10 Award
Tyre Shopper has just been awarded an Experian Hitwise Top 10 Award for the 10th time in the 5 years since its launch. Experian Hitwise monitors over 8 million online consumers in the UK to provide independent data about the websites they interact with.
Tyre Shopper ranked no. 10 for market share of visits in the category ‘Shopping and Classifieds – Automotive’ for January-June 2011 – so it’s up against stiff competition, not just from direct competitors selling purely tyres, but also websites like Halfords and Ebay motors.
“Well done for Tyre Shopper winning a Top Ten Award in Shopping and Classifieds – Automotive,” said Jannie Cahill, marketing director at Hitwise.
“This award recognises that Tyre Shopper’s commitment to providing top quality service pays off with fantastic online market share,” a spokesperson for Tyre Shopper commented, adding: “We constantly review and update the site, keeping pace with changes in technology and the way people interact with websites. Research is currently underway to optimise the site’s design and branding at each stage of the customer journey.”
“‘Our aim is to provide the best possible user experience and to really engage with our customers to do this. Recent additions to the site include features that integrate reviews from 3rd party sites like Trustpilot. Recognition of the site is increasing its exposure on the blogosphere and Tyre Shopper is partnering with popular auto blogs to guest blog post.
“Commitment to real-time customer support and experience has seen the integration of ‘click to chat’ which works similarly to an Instant Messenger Solution and is helping grow our popularity. However, at the end of the day it’s dedication and commitment to exceptional pricing and customer service that is key to driving visitors back to our site, and it is a result of this commitment and dedication that helps us achieve awards like the Hitwise Top 10.”
