Utility services provider selects ATS-E to manage 2,000 vehicle fleet’s tyres

Date: 7th February 2011 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Leading utilities sector service provider Morrison Utility Services has selected ATS Euromaster to supply, fit and service tyres across its 2,000-strong commercial vehicle and plant fleet, following a tender process the ATS-E described as “competitive”. The agreement covers 1,300 vans, 150 trucks, 350 plant trailers and 250 compressor trailers, onto which ATS-E will fit Avon and Taurus tyres, with specialist tyres selected for plant items.

Husy Salih, fuel procurement manager at Morrison Plant Services, says: “We considered several potential new suppliers, as well as existing incumbents, but ATS Euromaster offered the best all-round package and cost savings.” The nationwide agreement will give Morrison access to ATS-E’s mobile tyre fitting fleet, which is the largest of its type in the country and offers a 24/7 emergency roadside assistance service and availability at any non-roadside location.

Morrison Utility Services names National Grid, Thames Water and Scottish Power amongst its clients.
