Pro-Align Releases Hunter Software Upgrades
Wheel alignment specialist Pro-Align has released two further information technology upgrades, which enhance the powerful capabilities of its wheel alignment systems. WinAlign 11 is the latest operating software for its Hunter WA series aligner console. The UK distributor says the latest version gives workshops greater functionality and levels of integration, helping to further simplify and reduce the time taken to perform complex wheel alignment work. Pro-Align has also launched ‘TouchRemote’, a free iPhone App that allows users to operate WinAlign alignment systems.
WinAlign 11 includes ExpressAlign, which streamlines alignment procedures; Wintoe, which helps to make sure the steering wheel is straight; 3D real time graphics; and WebSpecs, which provides the user with the latest online vehicle data, tools and kits database. This helps the user to select the correct adjustment tool. The combination of all these tools helps technicians to measure and adjust alignment components quickly, efficiently and accurately, says Pro-Align.
With WinAlign 11, users can also take advantage of CodeLink – the diagnostic module that connects directly with the vehicle’s OBD-II system. This allows recalibration of the steering angle sensor (SAS), as required by vehicle manufacturers, to match the final thrust angle of the vehicle. This important procedure ensures the vehicle’s electronic stability control (ESC) system continues to function properly, reducing any subsequent fault light warnings and ensures the car is safe. WinAlign 11 automatically alerts technicians if the vehicle being aligned requires SAS reset and includes simple procedures to quickly and easily reset the sensor.
The Hunter WA console is also the central hub of Pro-Align’s Fully Integrated Alignment (FIA) system, of which the WinAlign11 software is a key factor. This innovative arrangement streamlines the entire alignment process; the Hunter alignment lift and Hunter Hawkeye WA aligner communicate and work in conjunction with each other, automating many tasks previously performed manually by the technician. The result, Pro-Align claims, should be an increase in productivity, increasing the opportunity for additional revenue.
Hunter WinAlign iPhone App
Pro-Align has also launched TouchRemote, a free iPhone App which gives users full wireless remote operation of Hunter WinAlign alignment systems. The device increases workshop flexibility, since users can monitor live vehicle measurements, control WinAlign software features and view vehicle specific adjustment illustrations and digital images directly on their iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. Workshops with WinAlign 11 can download the software from the iTunes App store.
