Magna Tyres Goes Down Under

Date: 15th September 2010 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Netherlands-based OTR tyre producer Magna Group has entered the Australian earthmoving tyre market with the arrival of Magna Tyres Australia in partnership with ADG Global Supply Pty Ltd. What is clear is that Magna Tyres is set to provide the market with a new alternative to the big three tyre makers. And this is a significant change because this market reportedly has not seen any new competitors in decades. The official Australian launch was held today (15 September 2010) in Perth, with numerous tyres on display and the opportunity to meet the founders of the Magna Group from The Netherlands. The launch of Magna’s OTR and industrial tyre range is accompanied by the construction of a new website – www.magnatyres.com.au.

ADG Global Supply Pty Ltd has given Magna Tyres an Australian home for local and global distribution with the development of their new division. With its head office located in Western Australia, ADG specialises in providing products and services to resource and energy companies globally. ADG has over 15 years of experience offering customised, integrated supply to remote mine sites globally as well as distributing leading products including M-I SWACO drilling fluids, Universal HDD rigs and Universal Pumps.

The ADG / Magna Tyres Australia team is said to be “excited to offer the Australian market these superior tyres for both industrial and mining applications and have stock ready to begin trials immediately. The team are also able to offer their extensive experience to clients – providing tyre selection advice for Australian conditions.”

According to the company’s launch information, the Magna Group has manufactured “world-leading rubber compounds for over three decades, supplying many of the foremost brands with rubber compounds, tyre construction consultancy and technical advice.” And this is something that led the group to unveil its own OTR and industrial tyre ranges following “15 years of dedicated research and development.”

Magna Tyres offers OTR tyres up to 57 inches in size, which are currently running in mine sites and ports around the globe including Eastern and Western Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, Central Asia, South East Asia, The Middle East, Africa, and Canada. The Magna Tyres Group’s OEM partners include names such as Liebherr Loaders, Volvo Loaders (Sweden), Terex-Demag Cranes (Germany), Tadano-Faun Cranes (Germany) and Hyster Forklifts (The Netherlands).
