Nitrogen Inflation Offered at Some Towell Tyre Centres

Date: 16th April 2008 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

In the UAE, Towell Tyre Care Plus (TCP) tyre retail outlets are seeking to capitalise in the increased popularity of nitrogen inflation, but offering the service for all passenger & SUV tyres are selected centres. According to the company, the advantages of Nitrogen filling are:

-Nitrogen has larger molecules which results in less air leakage through the tyre. Hence the frequency of tyre pressure check can be reduced and the tyre pressure remains same for a longer duration.

-Nitrogen is an inert gas. Hence there is less oxidation to the casing of the tyre and less chances of reaction with the inner line of the tyre. The damages caused due to cord rusting are greatly minimized.

-Since Nitrogen is an inert gas, it is not flammable. Hence chances of explosions in case of high heat operations like in FI cars and airplane tyres are greatly reduced.

“The Nitrogen filling facility is currently available at selected TCP outlets in Muscat. The TCP also provides a wide range of specialized services with experts to handle all types of vehicles,” a spokesperson told journalists.

Towell Auto Centre is the sole representative for Bridgestone in Oman. The 16 Tyre Care Plus outlets are located at Wadi Kabir, Bausher, Ghala, Goubra, Rusayl, Barkha, Saham, Sohar, Karsha, Nizwa, Ibri, Sur, Salalah, Buali, Bidiyah and Sinaw. Bridgestone has also set up two Truck Tyre Centres located in Ghala and Nimr.
