Micheldever Enhances Logistics with New Appointment

Date: 17th April 2008 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

The continued development of Micheldever Tyre Services, a significant player in the UK passenger car and 4×4 tyre wholesaling scene, has led to the appointment of a new company logistics director. Dave Haddock, formerly director of logistics at B&Q, has come on board at a time when Micheldever reports an increasing appreciation of logistic and transport functions as a crucial factor to the company’s continued success and expansion. Micheldever believes Haddock’s appointment will provide the impetus needed to create an industry leading warehousing and transportation facility.

“I am delighted to be joining Micheldever at such an important and exciting time in the company’s development.” said Dave Haddock, “Delivering the correct product to customers at the right time and as fast as possible is vital in any business and particularly in the tyre industry”.

Before his time at B&Q, Haddock also held positions at a number of other high profile companies including Tibbett & Britten and Wincanton – companies that, comments Micheldever, traditionally require fast, efficient and reliable logistics to satisfy customer needs. The company adds that Micheldever’s ongoing commitment to provide the best possible service to tyre retailers by the opening of additional warehouse facilities will be a top priority in the new logistics director’s remit

Commenting on the new appointment Paul Fox, chief executive of the Micheldever group said, “We are delighted that Dave is joining the team. His experience gained in “benchmark” logistics roles will elevate our warehouse and logistics operation to become the envy of the European tyre industry.”
