Federal Tyres’ “Fruitful” 2007

Date: 25th October 2007 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

For Federal Tyres this year, the second in which the company has placed an emphasis upon motorsports involvement, has been fruitful. At the very beginning of the year Federal was appointed naming right sponsor and official tyre supplier to the 2007 X Challenge series, an Australian based one-make championship for Lotus cars. This was followed up by a sponsorship deal in Federal Tyre’s native Taiwan with the AIC Drift Team. The manufacturer hand picked the team itself and hopes its decision to sponsor this growing sport will further encourage local companies to place their support behind motorsport in the island.

In July Federal Tyres sponsored drifting phenomenon A-Wing Lo, who eliminated 32 competitors to claim victory in front of a huge crowd at the Shanghai Tianma Circuit in China. This event was a great opportunity for Federal to demonstrate the performance capabilities of its 595RS tyre through A-Wing’s display of driving prowess. The month of October then saw Federal introduce a new sport tyre, 595RS-R. The company reports this new product is much more than just an evolution of its predecessor, the 595RS, and adds that the new tyre’s reinforced sidewall will allow for more precise high speed cornering and faster lap performance.

In 2008 Federal is looking forward to taking a further step onto the world stage through its participation in additional events and activities.
