BEN’s UK 5-a-side 2007 Football Championship

Date: 16th May 2007 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

BEN’s UK 5-a-side Football Championship is back. After a huge success in 2006, in which over 100 teams competed, one of the largest automotive industry tournaments is returning. Held at 9 venues across the UK, this event aims to raise awareness of BEN – the automotive industry charity and raise much needed funds. Once again the event will be run in conjunction with Powerleague, the UK’s largest provider of 5-a-side football and will culminate in a free UK Final for those who progress through.

This Championship is one of the few industry events where company teams from all automotive sectors can participate. In short, the team that wins this event is truly the automotive champions.

Regional Heats take place in June and July across a number of locations; Birmingham, Fairlop Oaks, Gateshead, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Sheffield and Slough. The UK Final will take place on Sunday 15 July in Birmingham. Each team entry costs £150, which can work out at just over £20 per player. The price includes a minimum of 3 games (45 minutes football), floodlit all weather pitches, a fully qualified FA referee, prizes, trophies and lots more. Teams can field up to seven players.

For an information pack and a team registration form please contact Adam Hanrahan on 01344 294719 or email adam.hanrahan@ben.org.uk
