RH Claydon: The Right Tyre for the Job

Date: 4th October 2006 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

As a major UK Tyre Wholesaler, R H Claydon prides itself on its comprehensive range of quality products to meet the requirements of a demanding industry, both user and service provider alike. The company’s truck market offering is no exception, with the prime offering being Matador, manufactured in the Slovak Republic, and which has been recognised for over 100 years as a major producer of quality products.

The needs of today’s haulage contractor can be put into five categories, as defined by Matador; High Road, Regional Road, Mixed Road, Urban & Winter Road and, by offering the correct fitment for the need of the vehicle, the performance of both tyre and vehicle is maximised and the benefits can be measured. It has been said, suggests RH Claydon that, as an industry, we do not always offer our user customer the correct tyre for the job. By leaning possibly to a brand that is cheaper, but may not be designed to meet the particular application and need, do we do our customer an injustice? Matador covers all needs of Steer, Drive & Trailer usage on all road situations. All the service provider has to do, says RH Claydon, is “tell us your customer requirements and our Sales Teams in house, or in the field will be pleased to advise, ‘the tyre for the job, by Matador'”. FH1/2/3, FR1/2/3, DH1, DR1/2/3, TH1/2, TM1, DW1; the range is comprehensive, designed to get the optimum performance from today’s trucks.

For Scotland, R H Claydon has the agency for Lassa Light Truck Tyres in sizes 16″ & 17.5″. The 17.5″ range is a good all-round performer, with the LS/R3000 and its unidirectional, all-steel construction providing enhanced wet handling, good mileage and improved retreadability. The LS/T5500 Drive mirrors the performance of its all-round counterpart.

The present line up is completed by the RoadLux brand. This is a range of Steer and Drive Tyres mindful of the operator who requires performance with dependability but at an economical price. Patterns R110, R210 & R516 will cover many of the requirements within this sector. Finally, R H Claydon is soon to announce the introduction of a further truck tyre to enhance the present line up. This introduction promises a new dimension, says the company, adding: “Watch this space!”
