Teijin Aramid resumes operations at Delfzijl site after fire
20th August 2025Teijin Aramid has confirmed that operations at its Delfzijl site have “safely resumed and are stable” following the fire the factory suffered on 6 August 2025. “All required safety inspections and protocols have been completed” and, importantly, “no injuries occurred and no environmental incidents were reported as a result of the fire”. Moving forward, the company reported that it is focusing on “operations ramp up in a safe, controlled, and reliable manner”.

Egypt to host new Sailun tyre plant
Sailun Group Co., Ltd. will build a major tyre plant in Egypt. The company provides details of the project in documents submitted to the Shanghai Stock Exchange, confirming a total investment of US$291.48 million to give Sailun its first manufacturing facility on the African continent. Xie Xiaohong, President of Sailun Group, signed an agreement for the project on 13 August at a ceremony attended by Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and other dignitaries.
