Pirelli stopping production in UK plants

A combination of health concerns and a significant slowdown in the automotive sector have prompted Pirelli to temporarily halt production at its factories in Burton on Trent and Carlisle. The stop will begin on 23 March.

Supply to clients will continue by drawing on available stock.

Pirelli says it will closely monitor the situation surrounding Covid-19 and its impact on the market to establish when production at the plants can recommence.
