Fyfes wins contract to support NWRC

Leading automotive and engineering distributor Fyfes Vehicle and Engineering Supplies has recently been awarded the contract to supply bespoke equipment to North West Regional College (NWRC) to service their Springtown and Greystone sites.

Offering a range of vehicle components, tools, consumables and engineering supplies, Northern Ireland’s largest motor factor has steadily grown its team of specialists for both tools and welding, relied on by high-profile customers in the area such as NWRC for its wealth of industry experience and technical expertise.

In Springtown campus, Fyfes supplied the latest CNC alloy refurbishment machine, along with the PowerTec Miracle body repair system, the latest spot welder for boron metals, and a plastic welder for different bumper plastics.

For the Limavady campus Fyfes provided a range of the latest vehicle diagnostics systems, including pass-thru machines. Also delivered was a 3-D wheel alignment machine, Hubscan Dynometer, and the ADAS car camera system.

On today’s modern vehicle anyone carrying out the latest repairs which have sensors on bumpers, doors, tailgates, etc will need to invest in or utilise someone who has an ADAS camera system to set up sensors again, or they will fail to reach the required regulations.

Fyfes also organised, in both campuses, comprehensive training packages provided by technical support teams from each of the contract suppliers. In addition, Fyfes supported the Greystone campus with a technical evening, with the contract suppliers’ main technical personnel on hand to demonstrate and answer any questions arising from the equipment.

Local garages were also in attendance to familiarise themselves with an ever-changing automotive environment.

Tony Fyfe, Managing Director, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the next generation of technicians and aftermarket professionals through supplying our equipment and technical expertise to NWRC.

“Throughout this process Fyfes, yet again, demonstrated their ability in supplying products tailored to suit their customers’ specific requirements.”

Trading in Ballymena for over 100 years, Fyfes Vehicle and Engineering Supplies Ireland now boasts 15 branches in Northern Ireland along with a depot in Drogheda operated by sister company Fyfes Car Parts Ireland.
