Exol ladies raise £1,331 for St Giles Hospice

Exol Lubricants has raised much needed funds in aid of a local Walsall charity, after its female staff took part in its ladies-only Starlight Walk on 15 September.

A grand total of £1,331 was raised in aid of St. Giles Hospice, as women from across the region walked 3.75 miles through Aldridge to the finishing line at Aldridge Community Centre.

Founded in 1983 by the Reverend Paul Brothwell, St Giles Hospice’s aim is to improve the care of local people dying with cancer and other potentially incurable illnesses such as motor neurone disease, heart failure, MS and respiratory disease. Its dedicated team provides individually-tailored care across the community, also offering support for families and helpers.

Steve Dunn, Exol sales & marketing director, said: “We are extremely proud of our female team members at Exol that took part and raised such a fantastic amount for this worthy cause. St Giles relies heavily on donations and fundraising, and I’m sure this amount will help support some of the invaluable work that they carry out across the local area.”
