Name change for petrol trade association

Date: 4th July 2012 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

RMI Petrol, the trade association representing independent forecourt retailers in the UK has changed its name to the Petrol Retailers Association (PRA). It will still be part of the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI).

Said Brian Madderson, Chairman of RMI PRA: “The decision to change the association’s name back to PRA followed a call from members to do so.

“Following the recent restructure within the RMI, which gave all its associations total independence, the PRA is in a better position than ever to meet its members’ needs. If our members feel that the name PRA better reflects their association, then it is important that we listen and act on this.

“The association will continue to represent members to Government and external organisations and liaise with key industry players and bodies.”
