KraussMaffei appoints Thomas Giese as interim CFO

Jörg Bremer is stepping down as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the KraussMaffei Group on 31 July. The machinery manufacturer has already found a successor in Thomas Giese, who will take over the duties of CFO of the KraussMaffei Group on an interim basis from 1 August.
In this role, Giese will be responsible for Finance & Controlling, Treasury, Accounting, Taxes, Legal & Patents and Relocation Projects. He will report to the management of the KraussMaffei Group, specifically CEO Chi Zhang. Over the course of July, Jörg Bremer will hand over his responsibilities to Thomas Giese in order to ensure a structured transition.

He has made important contributions to advancing KraussMaffei in key areas and has set important milestones for our company,” states Chi Zhang. “In March, he successfully completed the sale of Netstal. Last year, he negotiated the reconciliation of interests as part of an efficiency program and thus laid the foundation for the restructuring of the company. Under Jörg Bremer’s leadership, the financing strategy was also realigned, enabling KraussMaffei to make significant progress in corporate financing. We wish Jörg Bremer all the best for his personal and private future.”
Thomas Giese not only has many years of experience in private equity-backed companies, but also spent 30 years working for international companies in the healthcare, energy and automotive industries: He has serves as CFO at various companies, including as BOS Group, the IFA Group and GKN Automotive, and held various management positions for the Elster Group for over 18 years. “With his many years of management experience in the areas of finance and controlling, he will provide important stimulus for KraussMaffei,” states the company.
