AEZ Nanotechnology Wheel

Date: 2nd December 2005 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

AEZ is to launch the first self-cleaning wheel onto the market in 2006. The AEZ Raver, is said to be a groundbreaking innovation and the first alloy wheel to have been made using nanotechnology.

Nanotechnology, which focuses on researching and constructing structures on the smallest possible scale, is fast becoming the technology of the future. In important fields, such as medicine and pharmaceuticals, key advancements have been made thanks to this innovative technology.

According to AEZ Leichtmetallräder, the German company is the world’s first company to use nanotechnology in wheel coatings. This completely new kind of finish, dubbed “Nano tec brilliant silver,” makes watery or oily fluids simply bead on the surface and wash away.

This helps keep the AEZ Raver free from dirt, such as aggressive brake dust, and makes it “easy2clean”. Furthermore the Nano tec brilliant silver finish is said to be scratch-resistant, heat-resistant and extremely tough.
