Schedule Outlined For A1 Grand Prix

(Akron/Tire Review) The new A1 Grand Prix has released a 12-race schedule that features races in Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa and South and North America. All cars running in the A1 Grand Prix series will race on Cooper tyres produced by Avon racing. The series kicks off at Brands Hatch on the 25 September and then will continue with races at Lausitzring in Germany on 9 October and at Estoril in Portugal on 23 October.

The series will move to the Eastern Creek track in Australia for a 6 November race before going to Malaysia 20 November and Dubai on 11 December. After a holiday break, A1 will resume 15 January in either Indonesia or Singapore, and then travel to Durban or Cape Town, South Africa for racing on the 29 January.

The series hits North America for a 12 February race in Monterrey, Mexico, a 26 February street race in San Antonio, Texas, and a 26 March event at Laguna Seca Raceway in northern California. A planned finale in Beijing, China, set for 26 March, has not been finalised.
