Partslife environmental award for ZF Aftermarket’s TRW brake pads

ZF Aftermarket has been awarded the Partslife environmental award for its use of "Powder Adhesive Technology" in the production of its TRW branded brake pads. The pads are now manufactured without organic solvents as a result of this technology. The award aims to promote innovative and exemplary measures for environmental protection, and to encourage employees of other companies to imitate them.

The Executive Board for the newly-created ZF division, ZF Aftermarket, has been named. Steering the new aftermarket organisation as of 1 January 2017 under division head Helmut Ernst, are Neil Fryer (senior vice-president IAM, OES, and market and product), Evelyne Zaffino (vice-president human resources and Andreas Koetz (senior vice-president manufacturing, materials management and quality. Thomas Henne, the current senior vice-president finance, process-, IT-management and compliance of ZF Services, will work towards transferring this management role to Daniele Pontarollo by 1 March 2017.

The growing importance of the aftermarket sector has led ZF to bundle its activities in this area into a new division – ZF Aftermarket was created on 1 January and is now the second-largest supplier of parts, services and solutions in the global automotive aftermarket.
