Wheely-Safe forms telematics business

A new, dedicated business will provide Wheely-Safe with greater scope to supply and integrate its sensor technology to telematics companies worldwide for integration within their third-party systems. Gary Broadfield, joint-founder of Wheely-Safe, heads up the separate Wheely-Safe Sensors Ltd. business as Managing Director. At the same time, Wheely-Safe has rebranded its existing business as Wheely-Safe Systems Ltd; this will continue to offer fleets a “comprehensive tyre and wheel safety solution” that includes both standalone and cloud-connected devices.

Timberpak is a recycling and reprocessing company that has sourced waste wood for the EGGER UK’s chipboard production for more than 20 years, operating from four recycling sites in Washington, Leeds, St Albans and Bellshill. Following a successful trial, the company is equipping its vehicles with the Wheely-Safe in-motion wheel loss detection system, which combines brake and hub temperature monitoring with an intelligent tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), to improve the efficiency and safety of its operations.

G&B Finch equips heavy-duty trucks, trailers with Wheely-Safe technology

Essex-based G&B Finch has equipped five of its heavy-duty Iveco tractor units and bulk tipper trailers with Wheely-Safe technology. The in-motion wheel loss detection system combines brake and hub temperature monitoring with an intelligent tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). G&B Finch decided to fit the system after suffering a series of tyre blowouts.

Wheely Safe appoints MD to lead new UK franchise

Ian Maynard has been appointed managing director of Wheely-Safe (UK), a new, wholly-owned franchise launched to manage sales and aftersales for the automotive technology firm within its home market. It marks the first stage in ambitious new growth plans by parent company Wheely-Safe, part of GX2 Technology, to expand with franchises in key international markets. Each franchise will have access to the full suite of award-winning Wheely-Safe systems, which combine protection against wheel loss with brake/hub temperature monitoring and an intelligent tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
