SingEx Exhibitions has postponed its forthcoming Tyrexpo Africa trade as a result of concerns relating to the coronavirus. As a result, the event will now take place 4-6 August 2020 at Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa.
With just over two months to go before Tyrexpo Africa 2018 opens in Johannesburg, South Africa in early April, Singapore-based organiser SingEx has confirmed the participation of several global brands in the tyre, tyre repair equipment and tyre accessories. More than 100 international companies will be exhibiting at the event, with what the organiser describes as a significant number making their debut at the exhibition.
Andrew Tan has announced his upcoming departure from SingEx Exhibitions, the company behind the Tyrexpo series of trade fairs. The project director for SingEx Exhibitions’ Automotive & Commodities Cluster will leave SingEx at the end of this week.
With the opening of Tyrexpo Africa on 8 March 2016, show organiser Singex offering a Pre-Registration Lucky Draw. By registering before 15 January 2016, visitors stand a chance of winning a night’s hotel accommodation at the Garden Court Sandon City Hotel in Johannesburg. The hotel is located is close proximity to the Sandton Convention Centre where the show will be held.
Pre-registration for Tyrexpo Africa 2016, which takes place at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg between 8 and 10 March, opened on 7 December 2015. The show is targeted at companies focusing on the sourcing of tyres, tyre repair and maintenance equipment, and tyre accessories for purchase within the next three months.
Tyrexpo Africa 2014’s organisers Singex are describing the show as a success, saying “it lived up to its reputation once again as the major tyre event of the year on the African continent”. According to the company, the show – held from 4 to 6 March at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa – showcased “the widest selection of new brands of leading South African and international manufacturers” and featured 134 exhibitors and welcomed about 1,200 visitors from 17 African and international countries.
The next Tyrexpo will be Africa held from 4 to 6 March 2014 in South Africa. MAI International has appointed Gianluca De Rosa as head of finance, effective 1 July 2010. In his new position, De Rosa will be responsible for all financial matters within the MAI Group. De Rosa (43) gained a degree in Economics, with honours, from the University of Verona and has subsequently held a number of senior financial positions in various business sectors, including a multinational food importer/exporter, a real estate business and as a chartered accountant. The ‘full house’ signs went up at Tyrexpo Africa ’08 this week as organisers of the international tyre and equipment show found room for a clutch of final exhibitors for the 4-6 March event in Johannesburg’s Sandton Convention Centre. Selling all of the available stand space means that the show will offer visitors around eight per cent more companies to talk to (over 100 in total) and 10 per cent more floor space to cover, compared to the inaugural show back in 2006. More than 20 different countries will be represented at the international gathering, with southern African, Chinese and Indian suppliers providing the largest numbers of exhibitors.
