However, recently Tyres in Stock rebuilt its online presence to accommodate the growth that the firm is expecting.450 suppliers already offer their products through Tyres in Stock, which is active in over 15 European countries. The new software allows the business to pursue what it perceives to be growing international possibilities.
Leon van den Ouden has been appointed general manager of online tyre specialist Tyres in Stock Europe B.V. He takes over tasks previously performed by company owner Siem Klapwijk, such as furthering the B2B tyre platforms international development. Klapwijk will remain involved with Tyres in Stock, albeit in a less prominent role.
The more artistic inclinations of recent editions of the Pirelli Calendar may be rubbing off on other tyre industry players. Tyres in Stock held the photoshoot for its 2017 calendar at The Louwman Museum, home to the world’s oldest private collection of classic motor cars.
Dutch-based B2B online tyre platform Tyres in Stock is active in a number of European markets, and the company now reports that at the end of last year Rainer Will was appointed to the role of field representative for the firm’s business in Germany. In his new position, Will takes over responsibility for major customers and new partners.
Following the launch of Tyres in Stock in the Netherlands in January 2010, the company has embarked on an international expansion plan that has seen the company grow to cover nine markets across Europe. The latest is the UK, which kicked off in the fourth quarter of 2014 and is said to be going from strength to strength.
