Tyrata, Inc. has launched Tyrata.io, a cloud-based data portal for its IntelliTread tyre tread monitoring products. Tyrata.io works in combination with Tyrata’s Drive-Over System (DOS) to provide direct tyre measurement and real-time tread wear analysis for large vehicle fleets. According to the company, the solution has no hardware cost and is deployed within hours with no impact to current fleet operations.
Tyre sensor and data management company Tyrata Inc. says it has raised US$2.9 million in financing from global investors, and will use these funds to complete customer qualification of its IntelliTread Drive-Over System (DOS), establish high-volume manufacturing in global markets and speed development of the Tyrata Internal Tread Sensor product line.
Tyrata Inc. and Marubeni Corporation are collaborating in the distribution of Tyrata’s IntelliTread drive-over tread-depth reading system. Specifically, Marubeni will be introducing the technology to its customer base in Japan. Marubeni will begin selling units in Japan in the fourth quarter of 2020.
Durham City Transit Company (DCTC) and Tyrata, Inc., have completed a test and evaluation protocol trialling Tyrata’s Drive-Over System (DOS) and data analytics. The solid-state DOS automatically collects and analyzes tyre tread depth as buses drive over the low-profile, speedbump-like sensor.
US-based tyre sensor and data management company Tyrata, Inc. has expanded its patented IntelliTread tyre tread wear sensor platform to include a low-profile drive-over system. The IntelliTread Drive-Over-System (DOS) provides actionable data regarding tyre tread wear when a vehicle drives over the low-profile, speed bump-like unit. The IntelliTread Drive-Over-System is currently being implemented in pilot evaluations.
Tyre sensor developer Tyrata reports that it has demonstrated that its patented IntelliTread Internal Tread Sensor (ITS) measures aircraft tyre tread depth in a laboratory setting. Next, Tyrata plans to carry out additional durability and in-tyre sensor field tests.
Tyrata, Inc., a tyre sensor and data management company, has created a Scientific Advisory Board to further advance all aspects of tyre monitoring and data monetization. Building on Tyrata’s substantial scientific foundation, the Scientific Advisory Board will strengthen the IntelliTread tyre tread wear sensor by guiding the company in the extraction, handling, and processing of data. The real-time collection of tyre tread data, combined with associated big data analytics, are unique offerings that Tyrata is positioned to enable. The expertise of the Scientific Advisory Board will provide leading scientific insight into Tyrata’s development of these offerings.
Dealer Tire, LLC has announced that it is making “a significant investment” in SimpleTire, a Philadelphia-based online tyre retailer that has developed an e-commerce platform and network of independent tyre distributors. Terms of Dealer Tire’s investment were not disclosed. The news follows Dealer Tire’s decision to invest in Tyrata – a Duke University tyre sensor and data startup – in February 2018.
