The future of the global carbon black market looks good with the market expected to reach an estimated US$20.2 billion by 2023. This means that during the period between 2018 and 2023 the market will grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 5.6 per cent.
Carbon black manufacturer Sid Richardson Carbon & Energy Co. says it has “roots planted deep in Texas”. These roots will soon stretch south of the border, however. The company has announced it has begun the planning phase for the construction of a carbon black production facility in Mexico. Company president and CEO Bill Jones says the plant is expected to be producing carbon black by 2017.
