Universal solution: Titan International debuts Ultimate Flex Technology

Titan International has evolved the agricultural tyre technology seen in Increased Flexion (IF) and Very High Flexion (VF) tyres and has combining this with conventional tyre construction to create what it says is a “universal solution” for tyre replacements. It is introducing this Ultimate Flex Technology (UFT) at the Farm Progress 2022 show in the USA next week.

The biggest tractor in the world, the 1,100hp Big Bud 16V-747 has taken advantage of Goodyear Farm Tires’ low sidewall (LSW) technology, after it was given its first tyre change since 1977. The Titan International agricultural tyre brand supplied Big Bud with 1400/30R46 tyres, fitting eight new rims and tyres. The giant tractor is housed at the Heartland Museum in Clarion, Iowa, its home for the last seven years.

Will the agricultural market shift towards wheeled 4WD tractors over their tracked counterparts in the years to come? Titan International believes so. It bases this projection upon feedback from US agricultural equipment dealers and their customers, as well as from testing the tyre maker carried out in North America together with dealer group Van Wall Equipment. This showed that super single tyres offer comparable field performance and reduced soil compaction at a much lower cost than tracks.

Titan announces Goodyear Optitorque agricultural tyre range

An all-new Goodyear agricultural tyre, the Optitorque, has been launched in the North American market. So far no word has been given on plans to market the Optitorque in Europe, however Titan International’s acquisition of the rights to distribute Goodyear agricultural tyres within the region makes its introduction over here a very real possibility.
