Key Sailun shareholder undergoes reorganisation

Macrolink group

Macrolink Group, a significant shareholder of Sailun, recently received a civil ruling from the court in Beijing. The document shows that the court has accepted the reorganisation application filed by Hunan Fortune Group against Macrolink Group. It is reported that the cause of this incident was that Macrolink Group failed to pay off its due debts, and Hunan Fortune Group was the creditor.

New tyre industry standard: Sailun introduces EcoPoint³ technology

Sailun Tire Group says it has developed a technology that will “create a rubber revolution in the tyre industry.” Utilising liquid phase mixing, this new proprietary technology is known as EcoPoint³. According to Sailun, EcoPoint³ matches or exceeds tyre performance across the three key functional attributes of rolling resistance, wear resistance and wet grip performance. It will, the tyre maker confidently adds, “change the way that tyres are manufactured.”

50+ Chinese tyremakers increase prices

During January 2021 more than 50 domestic Chinese tyre businesses announced plans to increase prices. And, according to Robert Ho, marketing officer at Comforser Tire Co. Ltd., we can expect still further prices increases in February and March.

Sailun’s new truck tyre plant enters service

The Sailun Group’s newest truck tyre plant in Shenyang, China is now onstream. The tyre maker held a commissioning ceremony at its wholly-owned Sailun (Shenyang) Tire Co. Ltd. subsidiary on 18 November. The project gives Sailun an additional 3.3 million units of all-steel truck radial capacity.

Apex Motorsport gains global sales rights for Sailun motorsport tyres

Sailun Tire has entered into a partnership agreement with China’s Apex Motorsport. The deal, signed on 21 August by Apex Motorsport’s Jin Yi and Chen Zheng, deputy director of Sailun Motorsport, gives Apex global sales rights for Sailun Sports Tires including the full range of Sailun Gene R tyres. Sailun believes this agreement marks its “successful shift from the prosumer market to the consumer market following three years of racing events that put Sailun Tire products to various stringent tests.”

Sailun becomes partner, tyre supplier to D1GP

On 11 January, Sailun Tire and production car drifting series D1 Grand Prix (D1GP) signed their official partnership for the 2020 season, solidifying Sailun as an official strategic partner and tyre supplier for what many consider to be the world’s top international drifting event.
